Moments before El Tri restored their pride and fortress with the leadership of Javier Aguirre, the Mexicans played the first leg of this encounter.
At the end of all proceedings, the visitors Mexico were left shattered by a late penalty scored by El Salvador’s Quintanilla.
That meant that Cuauhtemoc Blanco’s converted spot kick at the 70th minute was just not enough for the Mexicans.

A win for Mexico will definitely see them cement their place in the finals of the World Cup which will take place in South Africa next summer
